Recently a patient (happened to be a nun) traveling from a central West African nation on her way to Chicago to visit a dear friend who lived in the suburbs of Chicago. Ust as the flight was approaching the shores of the USA the traveling on that flight began having severe breathing difficulty. The pilot decided to make an unscheduled emergency landing in Houston at Bush International Airport. The patient was taken to the nearest hospital where she was diagnosed with a blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism).
The blood clot had developed in the legs and travelled to the lungs, that risk could do have been reduced by a natural product (reduce PAI-1) that reduced the blood thickness back to normal before the start of the trip.
